About Us

Welcome to your anti-diet, body inculsive,
nutrition dream team.

Crushing diet culture is cool. Crushing it with your bestie is even cooler. We first met working at a non-profit eating disorder center in Columbus, OH. As new dietitians, we started our job within a month of each other, both without any prior experience treating disordered eating. We had a lot to learn and supported each other as we grew into the expert clinicians we are today.

Together, we have over a decade’s worth of experience working with disordered eating. Throughout our journey, we have created deep connections within the community and have helped hundreds of individuals heal. Along the way our clinical expertise has continued to grow with our evolving interests and the complex needs of the clients we serve.

Our passion not only comes from seeing the success of our clients, but also from our past personal experiences. We know first hand how horrible and all-consuming it can be to try and navigate a healthful relationship with food, our bodies, and movement. This has fully inspired our efforts to create a space for anyone in need to learn about food freedom and how to heal our bodies without the use of unsustainable and disordered dieting tactics. Our goal is to build a space where individuals can com to us to heal. Whether they are healing their hormones, recovering from an eating disorder, or trying to make peace with their bodies, we are here to help.

Let’s crush diet culture together, one step at a time!

Best,

Taylor & Jessi

Taylor is a Registered Dietitian and co-founder of LK Nutrition LLC. She is a graduate of Purdue University and holds dual minors in psychology and organizational leadership and supervision. She often jokes with her clients that she is part dietitian and part therapist!

She completed her master’s degree and dietetic internship at Bowling Green State University where she focused on the correlation between exercise, eating disorders and muscle dysmorphia. This is published in the International Journal of Exercise Science.

She prides herself in providing personalized nutrition counseling and recommendations to meet her client’s needs and goals. No cookie cutter meal plans here! She knows health is not determined by the number on the scale and takes a multifaceted approach to nutrition and healing. This includes addressing hormone and gut imbalances in addition to disordered eating to help individuals truly feel their best.

She’s worked in multiple levels of care for eating disorder treatment including PHP, IOP and OP. She is so excited to help you build your happiest, healthiest life free from guilt and anxiety around the word “health”.

When she’s not working, she enjoys trying out new restaurants and bars in the Columbus area (there is never a shortage!), hot yoga and spending time with her partner and fur baby, Blue.

Taylor is currently accepting new clients. She sees individuals who are 18+ years old and welcomes all gender identities.

Taylor is in network with Blue Cross, Anthem, Aetna, United Healthcare, and Cigna.

Self-pay options are available for those who do not have insurance coverage. Email taylor@lknutritionohio.com for more details.

Jessi is a Registered Dietitian and co-founder of LK Nutrition LLC. She is a graduate of Ohio University and holds advanced certification in the field of diabetes intervention from this university.

She completed her master’s degree and dietetic internship at the Ohio State University where she focused on cancer survivor nutrition and their perception of organic versus conventionally grown produce. This research is published in the journal of Supportive Care in Cancer.

Based on this background, one might assume Jessi focuses on diabetes or cancer nutrition but ironically, that is not where her career landed her! Jessi found her passion in the nutrition field post-masters degree when she took a job at a small outpatient facility that treated individuals diagnosed with Eating Disorders.

In this space Jessi found her true calling and built her personal nutrition philosophy from the ground up. She found that it is so easy to get caught up in diet culture-base expectations around food, our bodies, and our relationship with exercise. Instead of prescribing diet regimens and focusing on counting numbers on labels, Jessi focuses on each client as the whole human they are. We defocus that number on the scale and dive into lifestyle, support systems, mental health, food access, etc. as all of these factors play a role in one’s nutritional health. In her work she individualizes every session to ensure the changes being made are sustainable and realistic.

Along her career path she has also developed special interests in allergy/food intolerances, digestive health, navigating sports/exercise in recovery from an Eating Disorder.

When she isn’t working, Jessi enjoys seeing live music, taking her dog exploring, and reading a good mystery novel.

Jessi is currently accepting new clients but spots are limited. She sees clients who are 18+ years old, welcomes all gender identities, and offers self-pay options. Ability to accept insurance coming SOON!

What our amazing clients have to say about us

One of the things that I have found most helpful in working with Jessi is the care and compassion she has for her clients. She has advocated on my behalf many times when certain needs were not being met. She also has always met me where I am in the moment without judgement.

Nikki C.

Taylor helped me understand how I've been influenced by diet culture. identify and reprioritize health goals beyond weight, and take the blame and shame out of fueling my body. I got a LOT out of our 1:1 sessions and the educational resources provided. She even went above and beyond to help me find specialists for related underlying conditions, treating me as a whole person and putting my well-being first. I wholeheartedly recommend Taylor and LK Nutrition.

Former Client

Taylor listened to what I said. She was more like a dietitian and counselor. She understands the impact of relationships and diet history on eating. She looked at me as one unique person and not doesn’t compare me to anyone else. She focuses on what is best for me.
